Specializing in traditional narrowboat hire, holidays and training. Based at the heart of England’s waterways at 'Braunston Marina' the former historic boat yard, near Daventry, Northamptonshire.

We have six beautiful and historic canal routes within a short distance. Offering either miles of lock free cruising or heavily locked areas and long tunnels suiting all levels and abilities.

If you are new to narrowboats and canals, our friendly qualified trainer will take you through all aspects of narrowboat care, navigation and etiquette. By the end of your time training with us, you will feel confident and at ease with renting, or perhapes even buying a narrowboat. We also offer training on your own narrowboat if you are looking for some tips and tricks or extra guidance.

Our narrowboats have vintage engines, so if you’re looking to hire or train on a narrowboat that doesn’t look or sound like an average hire boat, we may have just what you are looking for! If you are looking for the experience of vintage engine controls and engine care, we would be delighted to assist you with our vast knowledge on all things historic boats and engines.
