Specialising in Canal and River narrowboat training Courses and training holidays. We are based at the heart of England’s canal system at 'Braunston Marina', the former historic boat yard, near Daventry, Northamptonshire.

We have six beautiful and historic canal routes within a short distance. Offering either miles of lock-free cruising or heavily locked areas and long tunnels suiting all levels and abilities.

If you are new to narrowboats and canals, or thinking of buying a boat to live on or perhaps just considering hiring a Narrowboat our friendly, qualified Instructor will take you through all aspects of Narrowboat handling skills, care, navigation and etiquette. By the end of your time training with us, you will feel confident and at ease with renting, or perhaps even buying, a narrowboat. If you have recently purchased a canal boat, we can run our training courses on your boat at your location. We cover the Midlands and the South for own boat training or boat moves by an experienced Qualified Instructor.

Our narrowboats have vintage engines. If you are looking for the experience of Vintage engines, traditional controls and engine care, we would be delighted to assist you with our vast knowledge on all things historic boats and engines.
